Stoffel van Zyl
Chairman of the Board
BComm (Law) LLB
Stoffel is the owner and chairman of Christopher Group. He is a firm believer that every person has the potential for greatness, and it is his heart to develop this potential. Stoffel and Jako Pienaar founded Hilltop Legacy in 2014, with the focus on assisting schools to become sustainable and succeed in the long run. Stoffel has a desire to help people and, in the end, to help them help themselves.
Bjorn Alexander
MD Hilltop Legacy

Bjorn is the MD of Lifestrong and has extensive experience in finding and training volunteers in the church environment. He was born and raised in the Paarl East community, also known as the Ghetto. Through his running, he represented South Africa in Duathlon and has travelled and lived abroad. Bjorn influences many people through mentorship and workplace leadership development. As part of his role at Hilltop Legacy, he is driven to continually explore new ways to inspire hope in the generation we work with.
Joe Roberts
Managing Director of Perdigon
BSc Agric
He started working as an agricultural economist in 1998 and has been actively trading grains since 2001. His primary focus and strength at Perdigon is adding value for all parties involved and bringing valuable relationships to the company. Joe is also part of Perdigon’s structured trading team.
At Hilltop Legacy, we have an environment driven by the passion of people like Stoffel and Bjorn to create sustainable change in the lives of our learners. Joe believes that focusing on the next generation in the Paarl Valley is vital in making that change.
Andre Burger
Group Operations Manager

After completing his honours degree at Rand Afrikaans University in 1986, Andre spent 2 years in the logistics industry with a Barlow Group subsidiary (ICS). Thereafter, he fulfilled various corporate finance and business banking roles during his 29 years of service with Standard Bank, Nedbank and FNB. Andre’s key strengths are his credit, management, and operational experience.
Alberto Prins
Partner at

He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (“SAICA”) and a registered auditor in terms of the Auditing Profession Act No 26 of 2005.
He started his career at PwC in 2001, where he was actively involved in statutory audits and businesses. During this initial period, he managed and assisted with the management of large companies in Paarl, including Pioneer Foods Group Ltd and KWV Ltd. Thereafter, he specialised in tax. He was engaged at the tax department of PwC and thereafter as a founding member of Jan S de Villiers Attorneys’ taxation services.
For the past twelve years, he has been responsible for the statutory audits and also renders other advisory services to clients.
